Meat Bag / Irachi Kizhi

Meat bag is a delicious snack recipe in which our favorite masala are filled in bag prepared with flour dough and are tied with red ribbon made of flour. It is delicious, attractive to kids and adults too. Give a try upon this awesome bag and enjoy.



INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Chicken ( cooked and minded): 1 cup
  2. All purpose  flour: 1 cup
  3. Onion: 1 big
  4. Ginger-garlic paste : 1/2 TBS
  5. Green chilly: 2
  6. Turmeric powder: a pinch
  7. Garam masala: 1/4 TSP
  8. Curry leaves( finely chopped) : 1 TBS
  9. Red food color: a pinch
  10. Oil: as required
  11. Salt: to taste

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Take 2 TBS of flour and mix red color and prepare dough. Roll and make ribbons out of it.
  • Prepare smooth dough out of remaining flour, salt and water.
  • Heat little oil in a pan and saute onion in it. 
  • When it turns soft, ginger-garlic and green chilly paste and saute for sometime.
  • Then add garam masala, turmeric powders ,salt and curry leaves ,saute for 2-3 minutes. 
  • Now add minsed chicken and stir cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Take a small ball from dough and roll it into Puri.
  • Place little masala in centre and lift up from all sides and hold together to form a bag.
  • Tie it with red ribbons made.
  • You can also use cooked noodles instead of ribbons.
  • Repeat the process for remaining dough and filling.
  • Deep fry it in oil till golden brown.
