Chicken nest is a delicious snack that resembles a bird's nest. First we prepare a patty with chicken masala and mashed potatoes and are then dipped in beaten egg and rolled in roasted vermicelli. It is a great choice for Ifthar , teatime , snack box or any other parties.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Chicken: 1/2 kg
- Potato: 1/4 kg
- Onion:4
- Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tsp
- Green chilly: 4
- Chilly powder: 2 tsp
- Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Vermicelli: 1-2 cup
- Egg: 3
- Oil: for frying
- Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Cook chicken with chilly powder, turmeric powder,1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste and salt.
- Remove it's bone and mince.
- Heat a pan with little oil, saute onion init.
- When it turns soft, add ginger-garlic and green chilly paste and saute till it's raw smell escapes.
- Add pepper powder and salt and stir to mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chicken mince to it, cook for 1-2 minutes and remove from flame.
- Boil potatoes,peel off, mash it and combine with above chicken masala.
- Make small patties out of it, slightly press in centre.
- Dip it in beaten egg and roll evenly with vermicelli.
- Deep fry these nest in hot oil till golden brown.
- Boil 1-2 eggs , remove it's shell and cut into pieces
- Garnish the chicken nests with egg pieces.
Delicious Chicken Nest are ready. Serve hot.
