Prawns are lovely seafood which can be prepared into many delicious dishes. Here comes a wonderful recipe of prawn masala with coconut pieces. It is really simple and delicious with a traditional taste.. Give a try on it.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Prawns: 500 g
- Shallots: 200 g
- Tomato: 250 g
- Garlic: 1 bulb
- Ginger: 1 piece
- Green chilly: 4
- Coconut: 1/2 of 1
- Chilly powder: 2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: a pinch
- Coriander powder: 1 tsp
- Pepper powder: 1 & 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Coconut milk: 50 ml
- Curry leaves: 2 string
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: 200 g
- Clean up the prawns.
- Cut shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilly, tomato into small pieces.
- Cut coconut into thin slices.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan and saute chopped shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilly, curry leaves and coconut slices. Saute it well for 6-8 minutes.
- Now add chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, pepper and turmeric powder along with salt and saute till a pleasant aroma arrives.
- Add tomato pieces and saute till they mashes.
- Now add the prawns, mix well and cook till the gravy thickens and coats with the prawns.
- Pour coconut milk, mix well and remove from fire.
