Chicken ghee roast is one of the delicious chicken recipe which can be prepared easily. They are lovely chicken dish with coated gravy and a enlightened flavor of ghee. As we cook chicken in ghee, the dish got the name " Ghee Roast". They are lovely and suits with any breakfast or dinner dishes, give a try upon it.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Chicken: 1/2 kg
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
- Onion: 1
- Chilly Powder: 3-4 tbsp
- Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
- Lime-juice: 1 tbs
- Ghee: 1/4 cup
- Curry leaves: 2 strings
- Salt: to taste
- Grind onion, 3-4 tbs chilly powder , turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, all together to a smooth paste. Adjust the addition of chilly powder to your spiciness.
- Marinate chicken pieces with this paste and keep aside for 1-2 hours.
- Heat a pan with ghee(reserve 1-2 tsp for later use), add the chicken pieces along with marinade to ghee.
- Cook and fry on low flame till the gravy thickens(or dries up) and chicken pieces turns lightly brown.
- Give stir gradually when it is about to cook.
- Add 2 tsp of ghee and remove it from fire.
