We love to eat buns with a cup of tea or coffee. If it is stuffed with a lovely spicy or sweet filling, it will turn to a wonderful snack. It is a quick and easy recipe if we have all the ingredients . Try this wonderful recipe which tastes great.
- Bun: 4
- Chicken: 1 cup
- Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: a pinch
- Onion: 1
- Tomato puree: 2 tbs(optional)
- Green chilly: 2
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: a pinch
- All purpose flour: 1 tbs
- Egg: 1
- Ghee: 2 tbs
- Oil: 2 tbs
- Coriander leaves: 1 tbs
- Curry leaves: 1 string
- Salt: to taste
- First we can prepare the filling.
- Cook chicken pieces with 1/4 tsp pepper powder, salt and turmeric powder. Remove the bones and crush it.
- Chop onion, green chilly, curry leaves and coriander leaves into fine pieces.
- Heat a pan and add oil in it.
- Saute onion, green chilly, curry leaves and coriander leaves in it.
- Saute them well and add tomato puree.
- Saute it for 2 minutes and add cooked chicken, remaining pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt to it.
- Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Cut a square piece from bottom of buns and take out the inner part of it.
- Mix the inner part with the prepared chicken masala and fill the bun with it.
- If bun is small, it qwill need 6 or 7 buns. If it is medium sized, 4 buns will be enough.
- Mix all purpose flour with little water to get a sticky paste.
- Dip the removed square piece of bun in flour paste and fix to the gap to cover the filling(to the hole from where we cut that piece)
- Heat a pan with ghee.
- Take a bowl and beat egg in it.
- Dip the stuffed bun in egg and place into the pan.
- Cook all the sides of buns.
