Pocket Sandwich

Sandwiches are lovely snack or breakfast recipe with our favorite filling between bun or bread slices.Any veg/ non-veg/ sweet / spicy filling can be used.Sandwiches can be prepared with or without flame. Here comes a lovely sandwich recipe  by making pockets with bread. Here i filled the pockets with chicken masala, you can do it with your favorite filling.



INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Bread slices: 6
  2. Chicken(cooked And boneless): 3/4 cup
  3. Onion: 1
  4. Green chilly: 1
  5. Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  7. Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder: 1/4 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves: 1 tbs
  10. Salt: to taste.
  11. Egg: 2
  12. Oil: for frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Cut bread slices into circles with cookie cutter or bottle top.
  • Powder the sides of bread.
  • Beat egg with a spoon.
  • Take two bread circles, press or roll together.
  • Dip them together in egg and roll it over bread crumbs.
  • Fry then it hot oil till it turns golden brown.
  • Cut them into two pieces from center, which gives two pockets.
  • Repeat the steps for remaining 2 pairs of bread.
  • Now let us prepare  filling.
  • Heat a pan and add little oil in it.
  • Saute chopped onion in it till it turns brownish.
  • Now add ginger-garlic-green chilly paste and saute till its raw smell escapes.
  • Now add turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add chicken pieces(cut into small pieces or crushed), mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves , mix and turn off the flame.
  • Fill this into the prepared pockets and serve.
Delicious Pocket sandwiches are ready. serve with tomato ketchup.
