Mint rice is a lovely rice recipe with mint flavor. It is a easy, quick and healthy recipe. Minty flavor brings a lovely taste and odor to rice. We cook mint leaves along with rice which gives a lovely colored and flavored rice. It is quick rice recipe with few ingredients.
- Biriyani rice: 2 cup
- Onion: 1 large
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbs
- Green chilly: 4
- Chopped mint leaves: 1 cup
- Coriander powder: 1&1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Ghee: 4 tbs
- Salt: 2 tsp
- Heat ghee in a cooker.
- Saute chopped onion in it
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and green chilly paste and saute.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala powder and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Next we have to add rice along with chopped mint leaves, 3 cups of boiling water and salt.
- Mix well and close the lid of cooker with weight.
- Cook in low flame till one whistle hears.
- Turn off the flame and allow the pressure to escape by itself.
