Methi Paneer

Paneer is the most common cottage cheese  cubes, mostly used in India, Nepal. It is a lovely ingredient that are used in curry , salads or rices. Here comes a lovely paneer recipe in methi gravy. Methi paneer is a delicious recipe which goes well with roti or chappathi.




INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Paneer: 150 g
  2. Methi leaves: 3/4 kg
  3. Onion: 2
  4. Tomato: 1
  5. Ginger: 1 piece
  6. Curd: 2 tbs
  7. Chilly powder: 1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  9. Kasuri methi: 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil: 3-4 tbs
  11.  Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Heat Oil in a pan and fry paneer cubes into golden color.
  • Place them in little water.
  • Chop methi leaves, sprinkle little salt and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heat a kadai, add little oil and saute chopped onion and ginger.
  • Add chilly and coriander powders, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Squeeze puree from chopped leaves and pour onto masala.
  • Add little salt also , stir well and cook for sometime.
  • Add chopped tomato ,stir well and cook.
  • Paneer cubes and curd are added to the  gravy and cooked for 5-6 minutes in low flame.
  • Remove from flame.
Delicious Methi Paneer is ready. Sprinkle kasuri methi on top and serve hot with roti or chappathi.
