Jelly Delight

Jelly delight is a delicious variant dessert recipe prepared with biriyani rice and jelly crystals. First we cook rice in milk and are ground into paste with jelly pieces and are then set to get this wonderful yummy pudding. It is really delicious, you will prepare more and more if once you tried. It is simple and quick recipe, give a try on it.




INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Biriyani rice: 1/4 cup
  2. Milk: 1/2 cup
  3. Mango / Strawberry / Raspberry jelly: 1 packet
  4. Sugar: 5-6 tbs
  5. Fresh/thick cream: 1/2 cup
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Soak rice in water for 30 minutes.
  • Prepare jelly as indicated on packet and refrigerate to get set. I used mango flavored.
  • Boil milk and add soaked rice to it.
  • Cook till milk dries and rice get cooked.
  • Now add sugar to it and cook till it melts and combines well with rice.
  • Allow it to cool a little.
  • Add jelly crystals, cooked rice and cream to a blender and blend to smooth paste.
  • Pour to a pudding tray and refrigerate till it thickens or sets.
  • Garnish the top with any thing you wish like nuts, cherries etc. Here i caramelized sugar with some cashew , allowed to cool , powdered and sprinkled on top(prolin powder).
Delicious , attractive and mouth-watering Jelly Delight is ready. Serve chilled.
