Chilly Mushroom

Mushrooms are low calorie food which have many nutritional benefits. They are eaten cooked or as garnishing on top of some dishes like pizza. Button mushrooms are used for consuming. Here comes a simple recipe for mushroom chilly which tastes yummy. Mushrooms are considered as meat for vegetarians.

Chilly Mushroom

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Mushroom: 1 tin
  2. Egg: 1
  3. All purpose flour: 4 tbs
  4. Onion: 2
  5. Ginger-garlic paste: 1/2 tsp
  6. Green chilly: 3
  7. Pepper powder: 1 tsp
  8. Cornflour: 2 tsp
  9. Soy sauce: 1/2 tsp
  10. Chilly sauce: 1 tsp
  11. Capsicum: 1 small
  12. Red color: little(optional)
  13. Sugar: 1/2 tsp
  14. Salt: to taste
  15. Curry leaves: 1-2 string
  16. Oil: little
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Heat a cooker and add 1 cup of water,1 tbs finely chopped onion, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and 2 mushrooms in it.
  • Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles in low flame.
  • Cut the mushrooms into 2 halves.
  • Marinate it with rewmaining pepper powder and salt for 30 minutes.
  • After half an hour , add egg and all purpose flour and mix well.
  • Keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.
  • Now fry it in hot oil.
  • Heat another pan and add little oil in it.
  • Now saute chopped onion, capsicum, green chilly pieces and curry leaves in it.
  • Then add mushroom stock in the cooker and allow it to boil.
  • When it starts boiling, add cornflour mixed in little water, mix well and allow it to boil.
  • When the gravy starts thickening, add fried mushrooms to it and stir well.
  • When gravy reaches required thickness, turn off the flame.
  • Mix sugar and color to the chilly and serve hot.
Delicious Chilly Mushroom is ready, serve hot.
