Chicken Pulava Kebab

Chicken / kombdi pulava kebab is a wonderful kebab recipe with a flavor of roasted onion, almonds and yogurt. It has a mouthwatering marination combination which makes the kebab delicious. It is simple recipe with few roasted spice combination.

Chicken Pulava Kebab

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Boneless chicken pieces: 4(about 150 g each)
  2. Almond: 10(soaked and peeled)
  3. Onion: 1 large
  4. Yogurt: 1/4 cup
  5. Ginger paste: 1/2 tsp
  6. Garlic paste: 1/4 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds: 1 tbs
  8. Cardamom: 2
  9. Cinnamon: 1/2 inch
  10. Cloves: 2
  11. Crushed Peppercorns: 1/4 tsp
  12. Salt:to taste
  13. Ghee: for shallow-frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 15-20 minutes.
  • Dry roast coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom, grind  them into powder.
  • Cut the chicken pieces into strips and slightly flatten it.
  • Thread them into the skewers and keep aside.
  • Roast the onion into golden brown.
  • Ground the almonds into paste.
  • Now combine roasted onion,ground almond,crushed peppercorns, yogurt, ginger-garlic pastes and salt altogether. Also combine roasted spice powder with  it.
  • Marinate the skrewed chicken pieces with this and keep aside for half an hour.
  • Heat little ghee on a tawa till very hot.
  • Place the chicken skewers on it and cook for 2 minutes on high flame.
  • Now turn the flame to low and cook by turning frequently to all sides till the kebab gets golden brown color.
  • Drizzle some more ghee if necessary.
Delicious Chicken pulava kebab is ready. serve hot.
