Rice flake balls are lovely snack balls especially for our kids. It is a healthy snack prepared with healthy ingredients rich in iron,calcium, energy and many more. It can prepared easily. As a healthy snack try to give kids all day or frequent days. You can prepare it as tiffin snack also.


Riceflake Balls / Avil Modagam

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Red riceflakes: 1 cup
  2. Grated Jagery: 1/2 cup
  3. Grated coconut: 1/2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
  5. Ghee: 1-2 tsp
  6. Sugar: for rolling(optional)
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Add rice flakes, jaggery, coconut and cardamom powder all together in a mixer jar and give a crush to it. Do not grind more.
  • Now convert it into balls. If balls are not perfect, add little ghee and mix, now prepare the balls.
  • If we didn't use ghee before, spread ghee over each balls and roll it in sugar crystals.
  • It gives 8-10 balls.
Delicious rice flake balls are ready. It can be prepared within minutes. Try this healthy snack for your kids.
