Muttamala is a traditional and everloving malabari dish prepared with egg yolk. Here comes another delicious dish prepared with the ever loving muttamala. Usually we serve muttamala with steamed egg white cake but here comes a twist. Here we fills muttamala in between dosa prepared with egg white and all purpose flour along with roasted nuts and raisins. For preparing muttamala click on muttamala recipe
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Muttamala: of 10 eggs
- All purpose flour: 1 cup
- Egg white: of 3 eggs
- Egg: 2
- Cashew & raisins: 150 g
- Prepare a smooth batter with egg white, all purpose flour and salt. Add water if necessary.
- Now prepare thin dosa with this batter. It should be of the same size of the pan or baking tray we use for cooking muttamala pathiri.
- Roast cashews and raisins in ghee.
- Now heat a non-stick pan, pour little ghee on it and place a dosa over it. Just dip every dosa on a beaten egg before placing on pan.
- Now spread muttamala over the dosa and cover it with another dosa .
- Place roasted cashews and raisins over it.( You can otherwise place the roasted nuts and raisins in same layer of muttamala also).
- Now place a dosa over it.
- Repeat the steps for all dosa and muttamala prepared.
- Now beat a egg and pour all over the top of the layers and cook in low flame for 10 minutes in low flame with lids closed.
- Allow to cook other side also.
- You can also bake it in microwave.
