Egg recipes are simple and easily prepared. Here comes a delicious kuruma recipe with egg and green peas with a rich coconut milk gravy. It is not too spicy and are rich in coconut milk, hence considered healthy especially for kids.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Egg: 5(boiled and cut into 4 pieces)
- Onion: 2 big
- Tomato: 2
- Green chilly: 5
- Potato:2 small
- Green peas(soaked and cooked)
- Garlic: 4-5 cloves
- Ginger: 1 small piece
- Coriander powder: 1 &1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Pepper: 1 &1/2 tsp
- Cloves: 3
- Cinnamon: 1 small piece
- Cardamom: 3
- Thick coconut milk: 1/2 cup
- Thin coconut milk: 1&1/2 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Curry leaves: 1 string
- Coriander leaves : little
- Oil: 1&1/2 tbs
- Crush garlic, ginger, pepper, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon altogether in a mixer jar.
- Saute onion in hot oil.
- When it starts color change, add crushed masala and saute till a nice aroma comes out.
- Now add slitted green chilly, curry leaves, turmeric powder and coriander powder and saute for a minute.
- Grind tomatoes into paste and add to above ingredients.
- When tomato gravy thickens and clears off the oil, add cooked potato pieces and green peas.
- Saute for 1 minute and add thin coconut milk.Allow it to boil.
- Now add boiled egg pieces and again boil for 5 minutes.
- At last add thick coconut milk and mix.
- When it starts boiling, turn off the flame.
Egg green peas kuruma is ready, Serve hot by garnishing with coriander leaves.
