Egg Greenpeas Kuruma

Egg recipes are simple and easily prepared. Here comes a delicious kuruma recipe with egg and green peas with a rich coconut milk gravy. It is not too spicy and are rich in coconut milk, hence considered healthy especially for kids.

Egg Greenpeas Kuruma

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Egg: 5(boiled and cut into 4 pieces)
  2. Onion: 2 big
  3. Tomato: 2
  4. Green chilly: 5
  5. Potato:2 small
  6. Green peas(soaked and cooked)
  7. Garlic: 4-5 cloves
  8. Ginger: 1 small piece
  9. Coriander powder: 1 &1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  11. Pepper: 1 &1/2 tsp
  12. Cloves: 3
  13. Cinnamon: 1 small piece
  14. Cardamom: 3
  15. Thick coconut milk: 1/2 cup
  16. Thin coconut milk: 1&1/2 cup
  17. Salt: to taste
  18. Curry leaves: 1 string
  19. Coriander leaves : little
  20. Oil: 1&1/2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION

    • Crush garlic, ginger, pepper, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon altogether in a mixer jar.
    • Saute onion in hot oil.
    • When it starts color change, add crushed masala and saute till a nice aroma comes out.
    • Now add slitted green chilly, curry leaves, turmeric powder and coriander powder and saute for a minute.
    • Grind tomatoes into paste and add to above ingredients.
    • When tomato gravy thickens and clears off the oil, add cooked potato pieces and green peas.
    • Saute for 1 minute and add thin coconut milk.Allow it to boil.
    • Now add boiled egg pieces and again boil for 5 minutes.
    • At last add thick coconut milk and mix.
    • When it starts boiling, turn off the flame.
    Egg green peas kuruma is ready, Serve hot by garnishing with coriander leaves.
