Banana Chips

Banana chips are lovely and crispy snack loves to eat at any time.It can be easily prepared by unripened bananas and a few other ingredients. We can prepare it with slightly ripened banana but it will provide a different taste a sweeter one.It is also delicious.

Banana Chips

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Unripened banana: 1 kg
  2. Turmeric powder: 1/2-1 tsp
  3. Salt : to taste
  4. Oil : for deep-frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Give a slit to banana peels using a knife that will ease the peeling of it. 
  • Now place the bananas in a bowl and add water to immerse in it and mix turmeric powder .
  • Keep aside for 20-30 minutes to remove the whitish liquid and also it prevents the blackening.
  • After 20-30 minutes, Take out the bananas and drain it using a tissue or cloth.
  • Now boil oil in a wok and slice the bananas into thin pieces using a slicer directly to the boiling oil.
  • Avoid over crowding.
  • Cook both sides by turning occasionally till it become crispy in low flame.
  • Now mix salt with little water and sprinkle over it. take care while sprinkling it will splutter out .
  • Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes by stirring.
  • Take out from oil and remove excess oil using tissue.
Yummy and crispy banana chips are ready. Store in air-tight container for longer crispiness or life.
