Crab Poriyal Fry Recipe

Crab is one of the best possible dietary sources of protein. They are also rich in vitamins and minerals, Crab meat is also low in fat and contains Omega-3 polyunsaturated acids. Crabs are lovely among seafood. It is prepared in many ways. Here Comes a recipe with little gravy.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Crab: 4
  2. Onion: 2
  3. Tomato: 2
  4. Oil: 4 tbs
  5. Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
  6. Fenugreek seeds: 1/2 tsp
  7. Grated coconut: 2 tbs
  8. Fennel seeds: 1 tsp
  9. Cumin Seeds:1 tsp
  10. Pepper kernel
  11. Turmeric powder:1/2 tsp
  12. Garlic: 10 cloves
  13. Tamarind water: 3 tbs
  14. Salt: to taste
  15. Curry leaves: little
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Clean crabs and cut into pieces.
  • Heat a pan and boil oil.
  • Splitter off mustard seeds and fenu-greek seeds.
  • Then add chopped onion and saute till it changes color.
  • Now add tomato pieces and cook till it mashes well.
  • Add crab pieces and stir for 3-4 minutes.
  • Grind grated coconut,cumin,fennel seeds, pepper kernels,chilly powder, turmeric powder, and garlic cloves together to get a smooth paste.
  • Add this paste to the crab mixture and stir well to get combined.
  • Saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup of water to it and cook it with closed lid in low flame till the gravy thickens and dries off.
  • Give a stir in intervals.
  • When it is about to dry, add salt and tamarind water .
  • Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.,
  • Add curry leaves and turn off the flame.
Delicious Crab Varuval Fry is ready. Serve hot for better taste.
