Chicken Ribbon Rice Recipe


Most of us are biriyani lovers. Here is a recipe for chicken ribbon rice or layered biriyani with different flavors. Its taste and look seems delicious. Lets have a try on this variety rice.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Biriyani rice:2 cup
  2. Ghee: 5 tbs
  3. Cardamom: 2
  4. Lemon: 2
  5. Chicken: 1/2 kg
  6. Onion: 2-3
  7. Tomato: 2
  8. Ginger: 1 inch
  9. Fennel seeds:2 tsp
  10. Chilly powder: 2 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  12. Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
  13. Coconut(grated): 1/2 of 1
  14. Green chilly: 5
  15. Sugar:1/2 tsp
  16. Garlic: 1 bulb
  17. Coriander leaves: 1 cup
  18. Vinegar: 2 tsp
  19. Yellow color:little
  20. Milk: 2 tbs
  21. Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPATRATION
  • Heat 2 tbs of ghee in a pan and add cardamom, then washed rice, 3&1/2 cups of water, 1 lemon's juice and salt, and prepare ghee rice.
  • Cook chicken with little turmeric powder and salt.
  • Remove bones of cooked chicken and cut into small pieces.
  • Heat a pan, add 2 tbs of ghee,and saute ginger and 1 tsp of fennel seeds.
  • Now add chopped onion and saute till it changes brownish.
  • Now add chopped tomato and cook till it mashes well.
  • Next we add chilly powder,turmeric powder, garam masala powder,and mix well.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes and add chopped chicken pieces.
  • Add required salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Put little chopped coriander leaves, mix well and turn off the flame.
  • In a mixer jar, add grated coconut, green chilly, coriander leaves, garlic, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 lemon's juice,vinegar, little sugar, and required salt and grind well to get smooth chutney.
  • Mix yellow color with 2 tbs of milk and keep aside.
ARRANGEMENT
  1. Divide cooked rice into three equal parts.
  2. Keep first part as itself.
  3. Mix the second part with yellow color mixture to get yellow rice.
  4. Mix the third part with the green coconut chutney to get green rice.
  5. Now grease a baking tray with ghee or butter, make a layer of green rice then with half of  the prepared chicken masala.
  6. Prepare a third layer of yellow rice and give a gentle press over it.
  7. Give a masala layer over it with the remaining masala.
  8. Cover it with a layer of white rice.
  9. Press it allover  and bake it for 10 minutes in 180 degree.
  10. If oven is not available, you can follow the dum step we are doing for biriyani preparation.
  11. You can also give different flavors for the layers according to your taste.
Delicious Chicken ribon rice is ready.Serve hot with any salad.
