Muthabbal Recipe


Muthabbal is an arabian side dish used with rottis, kuboos or such dishes. It is prepared with brinjal, sesame seeds in combination with olive oil. It is delicious, tasty and healthy dish.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Brinjal: 1 big
  2. Green chilly: 1
  3. Garlic: 2-3 cloves
  4. Lime juice: 2 tbs
  5. Thaheena paste: 1/2 cup( roast sesame seeds and made paste with olive oil)
  6. Salt: 1/2 tsp
  7. Pepper powder: 1/4 tsp
  8. Olive oil: 1 tbs
  9. Coriander leaves: for garnishing
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Roast or cook brinjal in direct flame and allow it to cool.
  • When it cools, peel off the brinjal and mash it with spoon or fork.
  • Grind mashed brinjal, garlic and green chilly to get a fine paste.
  • To this add thaheena paste, lime juice, salt and pepper powder and mix well.
  • Pour it into a serving bowl and pour olive oil over it.
Delicious and healthy Muthabbal is ready. garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
