Homemade Pineapple Jam Recipe


Fruit jams are one of the favorite for ours kids. But when we buy it, it may contain many preservatives. We can prepare fruit jam easily from home with a few ingredients and steps, which tastes as well. As there is no preservatives or additives, homemade jams are healthy. Here is a recipe for pineapple jam with only three ingredients. You can add 2 or 3 drops of pineapple essence or yellow food color to it. It is tasty without that also. It will be fresh for 1-2 weeks or can be refrigerated for longer period.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Pineapple: 1/2 of 1 medium sized(gives almost 2 cups of puree)
  2. Sugar: 1 cup
  3. Lime juice: 1 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Peel off pineapple and cut into small pieces.
  • Puree it into fine paste without water using a mixer grinder.
  • Pour it into a nonstick pan, add sugar with it and mix well.
  • Boil till it starts thickens in low flame by stirring in intervals.
  • When it thickens, turn off the flame.
  • Then add 1 tbs of lime juice to it and mix well.
  • Store it in a dry, air-tightened container.
Delicious Pineapple jam is ready. Lets have a try for your kids.
