Jackfruit Seed Fry

Here comes another experiment with our lovely and healthy Jackfruit Seed. Jackfruit Seed Fry is really wonderful as a side dish with rice or consume it as evening snack too. 

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Jackfruit Seed: 20-25
  2. Red chilly powder: 1 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  4. Asafoetida: a pinch
  5. Cumin seeds: a pinch
  6. Ginger-garlic paste: 1/2 tsp
  7. Curry leaves chopped: 1 TBS
  8. Salt: to taste
  9. Oil: for frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Remove the outer shell of jackfruit seeds and cut them into rounds or in length.
  • In a bowl, mix red chilly powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, chopped curry leaves and salt.
  • Prepare a thick paste by adding little water.
  • Now mix in the jackfruit Seed pieces and fold well to distribute the paste uniformly.
  • Keep aside for 10-20 Minutes.
  • Now fry them in hot oil in medium low flame till its done.
  • Do not over fry as it may harden the pieces.
Yummy and crispy Jackfruit Seed Fry is ready, serve hot.
